It's time for another giveaway!

Two big things happened today:  I hit 100 likes on Facebook, and I shipped my 300th bottle out this AM!

I know 300 is comparatively small to some of the other indie brands out there, but I'm savoring this early success.  It's big enough that I'm starting to think bigger and order more, which hopefully means more stable supply and more new colors.  It's also small enough that I can still include handwritten thank you's with each order, accommodate custom listings and international shipping, and generally ship each order in a day or two.  It's a good spot to be in!

To celebrate, as promised, I'm having another giveaway!

The Prize:  Full Size bottles of Glitter Food, Cosmic Debris and Red to Green color shifting topcoat

Open to:  Residents of the US and Canada

Enter until:  August 6th, 2012  2PM EST

To enter leave a comment on this post answering the following question (and a way to get in touch with you if you win):

How do you feel about limited edition polishes?   Would you rather see a smaller variety of colors that are consistently stocked, a bigger variety of ever-changing colors, or some combination of the two?

Thanks everyone for your support so far!!

  1. That's a difficult question! Probably a combination of the 2. Maybe you could start with everything LE, see how they do, then add the top-sellers to the permanent line? Or you could do like Disney and put polishes in the "vault" and re-release them periodically. That might be fun.

  2. I also feel like a combination of the two is perfect! That way late-comers can get in on the fun as well :). I dig Ryan's idea of a " vault" as well!

Congratulations!! To the victor go the spoils :)

  3. I would like a combination of the two; I like having a lot to choose from, but I also don't like missing out on a great color!

  4. yup... I'm in agreement with the first 2 posters. a combo seems to work for most people. a core collection is always a good thing.

  5. I think the vault is a fantastic idea...it'll keep people coming back! For me, I like to see a polish line with core colors and then rotating LE polishes...it keeps the LE's from reaching ungodly highs. However, I EQUALLY love seeing LE polishes for a cause. Another Etsy polish maker recently made 100 bottles of a polish with proceeds going to a charity and I think something like that is really cool. So a few LE's are cool with me, but when there are too many, it just requires too much effort to collect them or get one you really like later on! Btdubs, you can reach me at blishful@gmail.com :D I'm totally buying polish if I don't win any haha.

Congrats on 100 followers again, and also on shipping 300 bottles! Trust me, you're only going to get bigger because your polishes and customer service deserve it!

  6. I like a combination. With offering LEs you can do seasonal collections, giving the line more variety while keeping a good number of core colors. That way there's always something fresh and new to mix things up with. LE collections based on movies, events, seasons are fun because it speaks to different parts of the community. That and it's fun owning something special that not a lot of other people have!

  8. I like the idea of smaller variety that are consistently stocked that way those of us that aren't able to stalk websites can still get our hands on these beauties :) my email is brekay25@yahoo.com

  9. I like a combination of both. :)
I don't want to publish my email address, but my blog is linked to my name. I hope that'll work!

  10. I prefer a combination. As much as people complain about things being LE and then going out of stock. There is equal and opposite joy in lusting and owning to counter the butt hurt and upsettedness that goes along with missing out. Core polishes are obviously necessary! There must be a solid set of fabulousness to compliment the seasonal blitzes of limited edition snazz. aureece@gmail.com

  11. I think a combination of the two is my favorite. Its great to have the accessibility of a core line with the variety of LE, However it can be soo frustrating to be unable to get a particular color! -I Like one commenter's suggestion of a "vault" that way all hope is not lost! and perhaps a "vote" on which shades to bring back? -Irsmom124@gmail.com

  12. I also like the idea of a combination of the two.

When speaking of LE polishes I like seasonal collections, but "true" LE polishes, such as making only 25 of a certain color, I don't like. I feel if you're going to make a polish you should make it attainable by all who shop your store, not just the ones who were in the right place at the right time with the quickest fingers. That causes nastiness.

  13. A combination of the two would be awesome -- make them special but attainable to your customers. The 'vault' idea is a great suggestion!

  14. I like th idea of a combo of the two...obtainable colors and on the other hand you still get the thrill of having to try and get that coveted color you so deperatly want. The vault would be a gerat idea too...that way all hope isn't lost when you miss put on that color, it's just a longer wait. Plus if people keep checking in for "vault openings" they will be able to see new product as well!

  17. A combination of the two. Mostly because I am indecisive and then kick myself when I miss out on a LE. Congrats on your success!

  18. I like a combination of the two as well. A good core collection and some LE colors as well. But whatever you can get your hands on is fine with me. :O)

  19. I like the combination of both the LEs for a good cause, but having core colors as well. It is great being able to go whenever one has time and money, to go and buy your product without having to worry that one missed the big re-stock. The vault idea is also great since that would mean that you could eventually get a coveted polish that you couldn't get earlier. Congrats on the followers and thanks for the great giveaway.

  20. I really like when a polish company, whether indie or big-brand, keeps a core collection that fans know they can always get - then add LE's in for customers to look forward to and collect. Constantly changing lines do not appeal to me, I never know if I'm going to get the polish I want the next time I buy product. It's never fun to fall in love with a polish knowing that you'll never be able to get it again. It's fun to see a few of those from brands, but when the whole brand is LE it just makes it difficult for me to justify purchasing their product. I do love when companies "bring back" former LEs, giving new fans a chance at the product, and giving old fans a chance to stock up again.

Congratulations for your 300 polishes - that's fantastic! Your product is fantastic, and I hope your company continues to thrive and flourish.

  22. A combination of the 2. I like new colors coming in but I think think keeping some "core" colors is important. I think with LE polishes limits should be in place to prevent people from snatching them up all at once just to resell/swap. A limit of 2 per person would be plenty to keep everyone happy.

    Congrats :D

  23. I tend not to like LE polishes, because I have the bad habit of discovering them AFTER they are all sold out and there's not a thing to be done about it. It stinks to discover your absolute favorite polish - and not be able to get it because it was LE 2 months ago. I do understand the joy of having something LE and knowing it's special though, and I don't think it's a bad thing to have LE items. I just always miss out and am bitter ;).

I don't want to leave my email account but like someone else above my google account is linked to my blog :).

  24. I like a combination of two. Like a lot of people, I tend to discover LE polishes after the fact. However, there are times when I catch LE polishes and have the money to spend on them.

  25. I'm not big on LE polishes; creates too much drama. Unless you mean that you will have it for sale for a limited time; that's okay with me. If we get one or two chances to buy it, that's fair. I just received Mrs. White & LE Big Party... love them. Keep bringing us amazing polishes!!

  26. I'm so excited to see a competition open to Canadians that I've leapt in even though I think the closing time's past! I find the tension caused by LEs is just too much to handle--those Sundara/Wolmeise feeding frenzies in the yarn world nearly killed me.
